Sam is, first and foremost, a storyteller.
She spent the first 15 years of her career as a magazine editor and journalist, contributing widely to print and digital media in the U.K., Europe, the USA and Australasia.
For ten of these, she was also contributing editor to HOME Magazine, New Zealand’s most enduring and highly respected shelter title.
Her main interest is — broadly — design and architecture. However, she also writes about food and wine, art and culture, and travel, and is committed to promoting responsible practices in these areas.
In 2015, she expanded her work to include brand, content and communications strategy for clients in the architecture, design and food industries.
An EU national, Sam grew up in the hinterlands of New Zealand before flying north, but retains a love for the outdoors, fish ‘n chips, and camping under the stars. She moved to New York City in 2012.
